Package : cpio
CVE ID : CVE-2016-2037
Debian Bug : 812401

Gustavo Grieco discovered an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in cpio,
a tool for creating and extracting cpio archive files, leading to a
denial of service (application crash).

For the oldstable distribution (wheezy), this problem has been fixed
in version 2.11+dfsg-0.1+deb7u2.

For the stable distribution (jessie), this problem has been fixed in
version 2.11+dfsg-4.1+deb8u1.

For the unstable distribution (sid), this problem has been fixed in
version 2.11+dfsg-5.

We recommend that you upgrade your cpio packages.
