Oracle MySQL, MariaDB and Percona Server could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions. IBM Security Guardium has addressed the applicable CVE
CVEID: CVE-2016-2047**
DESCRIPTION:** Oracle MySQL, MariaDB and Percona Server could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by the failure to verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject’s Common Name (CN) and subjectAltName fields in X.509 certificates. By persuading a victim to visit a Web site containing a specially-crafted certificate, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using man-in-the-middle techniques to cause the victim to impersonate trusted servers.
