Avahi is not used directly by IBM App Connect Enterprise Certified Container but is present in the DesignerAuthoring operand images. Avahi is vulnerable to denial of service. This bulletin provides patch information to address the reported vulnerability in Avahi. [CVE-2017-6519]

**DESCRIPTION:**Avahi is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a response to IPv6 unicast queries by the avahi-daemon. By sending specially-crafted port-5353 UDP packets, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service (traffic amplification) or obtain sensitive information.
