The version of Adobe Experience Manager installed on the remote host is 6.2.x through 6.2 SP1-SFP20, 6.3.x through 6.3.3.8, 6.4.x prior to 6.4.8.2, or 6.5.x prior to 6.5.6.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

  • Adobe Experience Manager executes with unnecessary privileges, which allows an attacker to cause sensitive information disclosure. (CVE-2020-9733)

  • A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in Adobe Experience Manager that allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in a user’s browser. (CVE-2020-9735, CVE-2020-9736, CVE-2020-9737, CVE-2020-9738, CVE-2020-9740)

  • A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in Adobe Experience Manager that allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in a user’s browser. (CVE-2020-9742)

  • An HTML injection vulnerability exists that allows an attacker to cause inject arbitrary HTML in a user’s browser. (CVE-2020-9743)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application’s self-reported version number. To retrieve patch level information, this plugin requires the HTTP credentials of the web console. For accurate results, you may need to enable the Adobe Experience Manager ports (by default, 4502 and/or 4503) in your Nessus scan.
