A flaw was found in python-tqdm. When processing non-boolean command line arguments, python-tqdm uses python’s eval
function but fails to properly sanitize the input provided by the user. This flaw allows an attacker to trick a user into running python-tqdm with crafted command line arguments, resulting in local code execution.
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
