Cisco Video Communications Server is prone to an unspecified remote command-execution vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently validate user-input supplied. An attacker may exploit this issue to execute arbitrary commands within the context of the affected application,this may aid in further attacks. Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server versions prior to 7.0.3 are vulnerable.
Block external access at the network boundary, unless external parties require service.
If global access isnβt needed, filter access to the affected computer at the network boundary. Restricting access to only trusted computers and networks might greatly reduce the likelihood of successful exploits.
Deploy network intrusion detection systems to monitor network traffic for malicious activity.
