the HTTP request method to any HTTP method (including TRACE) using the
HiddenHttpMethodFilter in Spring MVC. If an application has a pre-existing
XSS vulnerability, a malicious user (or attacker) can use this filter to
escalate to an XST (Cross Site Tracing) attack.
