This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Internet Explorer. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within a CTreeNode being freed and used afterward. This freed object can be later accessed by the CTreePos::GetBranch routine. An attacker can possibly leverage this situation to execute code under the context of the user running the browser.
