This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Teams. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the handling of the msteams URL handler. When parsing a specially crafted URL, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current user at medium integrity.
