Summary

This security update resolves a Microsoft SharePoint Server elevation of privilege vulnerability, Microsoft SharePoint denial of service vulnerability, and Microsoft SharePoint Server spoofing vulnerability. To learn more about the vulnerabilities, see the following security advisories:​​​​

Notes:

  • This is build 16.0.10399.20005 of the security update package.
  • To apply this security update, you must have the release version of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2019 installed on the computer.

Improvements and fixes

This security update contains fixes for the following nonsecurity issues in SharePoint Server 2019 Language Pack:

  • Fixes an issue in which a new modern page is always added to the root folder when you create the page in a subfolder of the Site Pages library.
  • Fixes an issue in which the resolved user in a PersonWithoutPresence field temporarily shows “No Results” instead of populating the field immediately after you select the user.
  • Fixes an issue in which Document ID is not available in the property information section of each document.
  • Fixes an issue in which images that have an .svg file extension do not open or show a preview on the document library page.

**Note:**To fix these issues completely, you have to install KB 5002402 together with this update.
