This security update fixes the “HTTP Error 503” known issue that’s described in KB 5026765. The issue was introduced in the April 11, 2023, security update for SharePoint Server 2016 (KB 5002385). This update ensures that the Windows Antimalware Scan Interface (AMSI) integration module is configured only on versions of Windows Server that support AMSI, such as Windows Server 2016 and later. This update will remove the AMSI integration module configuration, if it exists, from versions of Windows Server that don’t support AMSI, such as Windows Server 2012 R2.
